General Manager

What you would do
- Provide strategic direction across all supermarket branches
- Develop operational plans to drive growth and profitability
- Monitor branch performance and ensure revenue targets are met
- Set and track sales targets, KPIs, budgets, and operational metrics
- Supervise branch managers and department heads
- Ensure inventory management, stock control and loss reduction
- Oversee procurement, supplier relationships, pricing, and product availability
- Analyse sales, margins, expenses and branch profitability
- Identify underperforming branches and implement corrective actions
- Prepare management reports and advise the Managing Director

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant management experience in retail, supermarket, FMCG or multi-branch operations
- Proven experience managing multiple outlets or branches
- Strong understanding of supermarket and retail operations
- Experience managing large teams and holding managers accountable
- Knowledge of inventory management, procurement, sales, merchandising and retail controls
- Financial acumen including budgeting, cost control, margins and profitability
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong analytical ability with Excel and business reporting tools
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
