Gas Development & Infrastructure Professional

About this role

A senior engineer is needed to lead gas development and infrastructure projects from concept through start-up, focusing on gathering, processing, compression, transportation, metering and commercialization systems in the upstream oil and gas value chain. The role targets individuals with extensive gas facilities experience who can work with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, regulators, and stakeholders in Lagos.

What you would do

• Lead development of gas gathering, processing, compression, transportation and commercialization concepts
• Coordinate feasibility studies, concept selection, technical definition and FEED activities
• Prepare project scopes, technical specs, cost estimates, schedules and execution plans
• Integrate subsurface production with process facilities, pipelines, utilities, metering and export systems
• Provide technical direction to contractors and consultants and review deliverables
• Support project assurance, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and handover; identify and mitigate risks

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum or Gas Engineering or related field
• 10 to 15 years of relevant upstream oil and gas experience
• Proven gas development and facilities engineering experience
• Experience across multidisciplinary engineering and project environments
• Knowledge of engineering standards, documentation, project controls and HSE requirements
• Professional registration (COREN, NSE or equivalent) or relevant certifications preferred
