About this role
The role is for a gardener/groundskeeper to maintain landscaped areas, entrances, sidewalks and other assigned spaces for the church. What you would do
- Mow lawns using hand and power mowers
- Maintain the landscape by planting perennials, shrubs and trees
- Trim and edge around walls, flower beds and walks
- Operate heavy tractors or other large equipment when required to maintain grounds
- Prune and shape shrubs and trees for plant growth and aesthetics
- Spray lawns, shrubs and trees for disease and pests and fertilise as needed
- Ensure power equipment and machines are properly maintained
- Provide guidance to volunteers in grounds maintenance
- Water lawn and garden areas
- Perform other duties as assigned

- 2-3 years of hands-on grounds maintenance, horticulture or landscaping experience
- Knowledge of various plants and fertilisers
- Proficiency in operating light machinery
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Excellent physical fitness with ability to lift 50 lbs and perform active tasks
- Fluent English with strong communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Senior High School certificate or equivalent
- Tech-Savviness as a confident, independent computer user
- Must be worthy of a Temple Recommend
