Full Stack Developer
About this role
KPMG in Lagos is seeking a Full Stack Developer to build web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, and to develop APIs with Node.js and/or Python. The role involves working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis), integrating third-party services, implementing authentication and security basics, writing well-documented code, and collaborating with product, design and QA teams. Candidates should have a relevant university degree with at least a Second Class lower, solid O' Level results, and 2 to 3 years of post-NYSC full stack experience. The role requires experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and/or Python, SQL/NoSQL, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms, plus REST APIs and web security understanding. Additional points include familiarity with GraphQL, microservices or Redis, CI/CD and automated testing as desirable.
What you would do
- Build web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
- Develop APIs with Node.js and/or Python.
- Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL and Redis.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs.
- Implement authentication and basic security controls.
- Write clean, tested and well-documented code.
- Use Git, GitHub, Docker and CI/CD tools.
- Collaborate with Product, Design and QA teams.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field with a minimum of Second Class lower division.
- Minimum of five O' Level credits in no more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics.
- 2 to 3 years of post-NYSC full stack development experience.
- Strong knowledge of React, Next.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with Node.js and/or Python.
- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Docker, Git and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Vercel or GCP).
- Good understanding of REST APIs and web security.
