Fraud Monitoring Officer

What you would do

• Develop and implement fraud risk processes, tools, policies, standards and procedures in line with CBN policies
• Perform daily transaction review, monitoring and trend analysis investigations
• Submit periodic reports on blocked users, new merchants, fraudulent transactions, and approved/declined transactions
• Monitor merchant transactions and produce watch lists and hospitality merchants reports
• Conduct objective and timely investigations on fraud incidents reported by schemes, banks and other external stakeholders
• Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve fraud cases
• Document investigations for internal tracking and regulatory reporting
• Maintain liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies
• Attend court hearings when required
• Create and deliver fraud awareness training for staff

What they are asking for

• University degree or HND in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology or related fields
• Professional certification in Compliance, Fraud and investigation is an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in fraud investigations
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, data tools or statistical packages
• Effective communication skills (spoken and written)
• Good analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail
• Proven ability to maintain internal and external relationships through strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Experience in electronic investigations
