Forklift Driver

About this role

A full-time forklift driver role based on site in Sharada, Kano, working for Bagco Nigeria. The driver operates forklifts to move, load and unload materials within the warehouse and production areas, and assists with packing, shipping and receiving to ensure timely dispatch. The role requires routine forklift inspections, adherence to safety procedures and reporting issues with equipment or materials. You will collaborate with warehouse, production and logistics teams to maintain smooth material flow and orderly work areas. Prior forklift operation experience and awareness of shipping, receiving and inventory processes are needed, with a preferred forklift certification and a high school diploma or equivalent.

What you would do

• Operate forklifts to move, load and unload materials within warehouse and production areas.
• Organise and stack goods and assist with packing.
• Support shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch of products.
• Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report equipment or material issues.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Collaborate with warehouse, production and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow.
• Assist with documentation relating to shipping, receiving and inventory movement.
• Follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Support general material handling tasks as required.
