Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) Officer
About this role
A Food Security and Livelihood Officer to support FSL activities in Adamawa, focusing on livelihoods and VSLA work to improve economic resilience for disadvantaged households, especially women and people with disabilities. The role involves coordinating with communities, partners and stakeholders to implement and monitor interventions across multiple sites.
What you would do
- Adhere to organisational, donor, and SOP policies.
- Facilitate refresher training for VSLA members on group management, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
- Support establishment and strengthening of VSLA groups; train members on savings, loans, and financial records.
- Provide technical guidance on business planning, budgeting, and income-generating activities.
- Prepare monthly activity reports and coordinate with partners and stakeholders.
- Organise stakeholder meetings, beneficiary assessments, and timely procurement and distribution of materials.

- BSc or HND in Agric, FST, Nutrition, Public Health, or related field from a certified tertiary institution.
- At least 3 years of experience in FSL, nutrition or development work.
