First Mile & Last Mile Manager - Owerri / Asaba

About this role

The First Mile & Last Mile Manager will lead and supervise pickup and delivery operations to ensure timely, accurate service and strong customer satisfaction, while driving performance improvements and compliance with safety standards. The role involves managing a team of operators, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and monitoring key performance indicators. Candidates must be based in Owerri/Asaba (also Lagos or Oshogbo as listed).

What you would do

• Lead and supervise a team of First Mile & Last Mile Operators to ensure timely and accurate pickup and delivery
• Assign daily tasks and routes based on workload and customer requirements
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and vehicle utilisation; take corrective actions as needed
• Coordinate with Warehouse Operations, Procurement, and Customer Service to optimise logistics processes and resolve issues
• Maintain records of pickup and delivery activities, vehicle maintenance, and driver performance; ensure compliance with safety standards and policies

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, transportation, or delivery services, including at least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role
• Strong leadership and team management abilities; ability to motivate and develop staff

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritise and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with route planning and tracking tools (e.g., GPS, route optimisation software) and must be based in Lagos, Owerri/Asaba, or Oshogbo
