First Mile & Last Mile Manager - Lagos

About this role

Lead and oversee the First Mile and Last Mile pickup and delivery operations in Lagos to ensure timely and accurate delivery and exceptional customer service. Manage a team of operators, drive performance improvements, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies.

What you would do

• Lead and supervise First Mile and Last Mile Operators to ensure timely and accurate pickup and delivery.
• Assign daily tasks and routes based on workload and customer requirements.
• Provide guidance, training and support to improve team skills and performance.
• Monitor performance and KPIs such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and vehicle utilisation; take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Operations, Procurement and Customer Service to optimise processes and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards; maintain records of pickup and delivery activities, vehicle maintenance and driver performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in logistics operations, transportation or delivery services, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with route planning, tracking and reporting tools (GPS and route optimisation software).
• Based in Lagos, Owerri/Asaba or Oshogbo.
