First Mile & Last Mile Manager - Jumia (Full Time)
About this role
Jumia is hiring a First Mile and Last Mile Regional Manager for multiple Nigerian locations, including Lagos, Oshogbo and Owerri/Asaba. The role leads and supervises pickup and delivery operations, manages a team of operators, and drives performance while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. It is aimed at experienced logistics professionals with leadership skills who are based in one of the listed cities.
What you would do
- Lead and supervise a team of First Mile and Last Mile Operators to ensure timely and accurate pickup and delivery operations
- Assign daily tasks and routes to team members based on workload, priorities and customer requirements
- Provide guidance, training and support to team members to enhance skills, productivity and performance
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to identify improvement areas and recognise achievements
- Monitor team performance and KPIs such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and vehicle utilisation, taking corrective actions to meet targets
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Warehouse Operations, Procurement and Customer Service to optimise logistics processes and resolve issues

- 5+ years of experience in logistics operations, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Based in Lagos, Owerri/Asaba or Oshogbo
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Proficiency in using technology tools and systems for route planning, tracking and reporting (e.g., GPS, route optimisation software)
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation or related field is an advantage
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
