Finisher (Automotive Engineering)

About this role

Proforce Limited is seeking a Finisher for its defence and automotive production facility in Ode Remo, Ogun State. The role involves applying final surface treatments, finishing vehicle bodies and armored vehicles, and performing quality checks to meet automotive and military-grade standards. The position targets individuals with hands-on experience in automotive body finishing and related fabrication within a manufacturing setting. Proforce Defence focuses on producing armored and protective mobility products for government, corporate, diplomatic, and private clients in Nigeria and Africa.

What you would do

• Prepare and finish surfaces on metal, fiberglass, composites and armored panels before painting or coating.
• Align, fit, and polish exterior components, panels, doors, trim and protective plating.
• Apply sealants, anti-corrosion coatings, sound-dampening materials and topcoats as per standards.
• Inspect for defects and perform touch-ups and repairs to meet quality requirements.
• Operate finishing tools and equipment safely (sprays, polishers, buffers, sanders, pneumatics).
• Collaborate with QC to ensure vehicles meet safety, structural and visual specs.
• Follow occupational health and safety regulations and use PPE in the workshop.

What they are asking for

• Education in mechanical/automotive engineering or related technical field (NABTEB, OND, HND or BSc).
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in automotive body finishing, repair or vehicle assembly in manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and dexterity with power tools.
• Knowledge of automotive materials, finishing techniques, tolerances and blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and finishing inspection techniques.
