Proforce Industries Limited is seeking a Finisher for its Ogun state manufacturing facility. The role involves finalising surface treatments, body finishing, and aesthetic improvements on vehicle bodies and armored vehicles, ensuring compliance with automotive and military-grade standards. What you would do
- Prepare and treat metal, fiberglass, composite and armored surfaces before painting or coating.
- Align, fit, and polish exterior components, panels, doors, trim and protective plating.
- Apply sealants, anti-corrosion coatings, sound-dampening materials, and topcoats per standards.
- Inspect surfaces for defects and perform precision touch-ups and repairs.
- Operate finishing equipment such as spray guns, polishers, buffers and sanders.
- Collaborate with QC team to ensure safety, structural integrity and visual specifications.
- Maintain adherence to health and safety regulations and use PPE consistently.
What they are asking for
- Educational background in NABTEB, OND, or HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Metallurgy or related technical field.
- 2 to 4 years of practical experience in automotive body finishing, auto-body repair, or vehicle assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- High precision and attention to detail with dexterity in handling power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills related to automotive craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of automotive materials (metals, composites, fiberglass, armored plating) and coatings chemistry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, body fit specifications and engineering schematics.
- Understanding of sheet metal work, seam sealing, welding bead finishing, and panel alignment.
