Proforce Limited is recruiting for a Finisher to join its engineering and production team at the Ode Remo manufacturing facility in Ogun State. The role focuses on applying final surface treatments, finishing vehicle bodies and armored vehicles, and conducting quality checks to meet automotive and military-grade standards. What you would do
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, grinding, priming, filling and smoothing before painting or coating.
- Align, fit and polish exterior components, body panels, doors, trim and protective plating.
- Apply sealants, anti-corrosion coatings, sound-dampening materials and topcoats as specified.
- Inspect surfaces for flaws and perform precision touch-ups and repairs.
- Operate finishing equipment such as spray guns, polishers, buffers and sanders safely.
- Collaborate with the QC team to ensure finished vehicles meet safety, structural and visual standards.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and use PPE in the workshop.
What they are asking for
- Education: NABTEB, OND, or HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Metallurgy or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years in automotive body finishing, auto-body repair or vehicle assembly in manufacturing.
- Skills: high precision, strong attention to detail, dexterity with power tools, good problem-solving in automotive craftsmanship.
- Knowledge: understanding of metals, composites, armored plating, surface finishing techniques, coatings chemistry, and basic reading of technical drawings and schematics.
