Financial Reporting Officer

About this role

A Financial Reporting Officer is needed in Lagos to prepare financial statements and regulatory returns in line with IFRS and CBN requirements. The role supports month-end and year-end closes, audits and reconciliation of accounts for the bank’s Financial Reporting team.

What you would do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns to the CBN and other regulators
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for all reports
• Support month-end and year-end close and internal and external audits
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances

What they are asking for

• ICAN, ACCA or equivalent qualification (part-qualified candidates considered)
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and advanced Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• 2 to 4 years of experience in financial reporting, banking or audit
• Experience with Finacle or a similar core banking system (advantage)
