Financial Planning Analyst
About this role
The Financial Planning Analyst supports the Head of Group FP&A and acts as the FP&A resource for smaller subsidiaries that do not have a dedicated finance analyst. The role involves helping with forecasting, budgeting and reporting for the group.
What you would do
- Update the group consolidation model each month and reconcile actual results with forecasts, highlighting any variances.
- Provide forecasting, budgeting and management reporting support to subsidiaries that lack a dedicated FP&A resource.
- Prepare board and management reporting packs on a fixed monthly or quarterly cadence.
- Assist with the annual budget process, including templates, data collection from business units, consolidation and variance commentary.
- Conduct variance analysis against budget and prior forecast and draft the commentary behind the numbers.
- Maintain KPI and unit-economics tracking across all included entities.
What they are asking for
- 4-6 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis or a similar corporate finance role.
- Advanced Excel and modelling skills.
- Experience handling multi-entity or multi-currency numbers.
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) or equivalent analytical background.
