Financial Controller

About this role

Neveah Limited, a Ogun-based commodities trading company exporting solid minerals and agricultural products, is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee daily financial operations, ensure compliance and strengthen internal controls within the Finance/Accounts unit. The role reports to the CFO and involves helping shape financial strategy and reporting to external stakeholders; the ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector.

What you would do

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Collaborate with the CFO to develop the organisation's financial strategy.
• Supervise accounting practices and manage the finance team, including the Team Lead.
• Manage relationships with investors, partners and external stakeholders on financial matters.
• Prepare timely monthly management accounts and financial statements; support year-end audits.
• Monitor regulatory compliance, tax filings, internal controls, and coordinate with Internal Audit and bank reconciliations.
