Financial Accountant

About this role

The Paper Packaging Company (TPPC) in Lagos is seeking a Production Accountant for a full-time, on-site role. You will manage financial activities linked to manufacturing operations, including tracking production costs, preparing cost reports and ensuring accurate recording of materials, labour and overhead, in collaboration with production, procurement and finance teams.

What you would do

• Maintain accurate financial records and report on production-related transactions.
• Track and analyse production costs (materials, labour, overhead) per SKU to support margin and pricing decisions.
• Support cash flow planning and manage working capital tied to production and inventory cycles.
• Ensure production-related financial activities comply with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to production budgeting and monitor actual performance against plan.
• Uphold internal controls around inventory, expenses and cost recording to safeguard company assets.

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification (ACCA or ACA) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet tools; strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, packaging or a similar industry is beneficial.
• Familiarity with sustainability-focused operations is advantageous.
