Financial Accountant
About this role
A Financial Accountant is needed to manage reliable financial records, customer receivables and month-end processes for a fast-growing food condiments manufacturer in Lagos. The role focuses on maintaining ledgers, monitoring payments and providing financial reports for decision making.
What you would do
- Maintain accurate General Ledger records and complete month-end closing on time
- Monitor customer balances and follow up on outstanding payments within approved credit periods
- Prepare clear reports on customer balances, outstanding payments, and collections
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and ensure balances are supported
- Reconcile bank transactions and resolve differences promptly
- Take ownership of unresolved balances until cleared
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field
- At least three years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP software
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly
- Trustworthy, analytical and able to work with different teams
- Professional qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is a plus
