What you would do
- Process settlement of employee claims and other unit expenditures in line with the organisation's financial and procurement policies.
- Process contractor and supplier claims and verify compliance.
- Maintain payment invoices and post all transactions in the books of account.
- Manage petty cash with proper accounting and security measures.
- Ensure PAYE and withholding tax are remitted on time.
- Verify staff and field assistants payrolls/time sheets for accuracy.
- Prepare cheques and obtain proper receipts for payees in a timely manner.
- Maintain paid vouchers in chronological order for auditing purposes.
- Safeguard financial documents and data.
- Participate in quarterly and annual audits and support other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
