About this role
The Finance Officer will manage day-to-day financial and accounting operations for UUL United Logistics Nig Ltd, based in Lekki, Lagos. The role requires ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and reported in line with GAAP, IFRS and the company's policies. UUL is an international freight forwarding, shipping and supply chain management company with operations in Nigeria and overseas.
What you would do
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, tracking investments, and maintaining ledgers.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure funds are available for operations and identify discrepancies or financial risks.
- Prepare financial statements, reports and budgets to inform on financial performance.
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting, evaluate trends, assess risks and support management decisions.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with regulatory standards, internal policies and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance for budgeting, cost-benefit analyses and funding requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Applied Economics, Accounting or related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting and reconciliations; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Understanding of statutory and regulatory financial requirements and ability to identify discrepancies and risks.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
