Finance Officer

Smart Partners in Lagos is looking for a Finance Officer to support daily financial operations, maintain records, and ensure compliance with financial procedures. What you would do
- Record and maintain financial transactions and accounting records.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other financial documents.
- Monitor income, expenses, cash flow and daily financial activities.
- Maintain records of accounts payable and receivable.
- Process payments with proper approvals and documentation.
- Monitor overdue receivables and follow up on collection.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile customer, supplier and general ledger accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare periodic financial and management reports.
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Good understanding of accounts payable, receivable and cash management.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Professional accounting qualification or relevant certification is an added advantage.
