Finance Controller (LAGRIDE)

About this role

Role: Finance Controller for CIG Motor Ltd in Lagos, Nigeria. The role oversees the company’s accounting, financial reporting, compliance and internal controls, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting. It also ensures adherence to regulatory and company requirements.

What you would do

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventory accounting with timely reconciliations.
• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and management reports for management and stakeholders.
• Monitor financial performance, cash flow, working capital and key financial indicators.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, statutory and internal control requirements, and identify risks with corrective actions.
• Coordinate monthly inventory counts and reconcile physical and accounting records.
• Supervise the finance and accounting team to ensure accuracy and timely deliverables.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; Master’s/MBA is an advantage.
• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing or finance with managerial or supervisory experience.
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, automotive, retail or inventory-driven industries is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership and organisational skills; ability to manage financial operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
