Finance and Administrative Officer

Watu Credit Limited in Lagos seeks a Finance and Administrative Officer. What you would do
- Complete HQ reporting spreadsheets accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal tax laws
- Advise on VAT for outgoing invoices
- Monitor office cash flow and expenses and record all transactions
- Reconcile bank balances and transactions with bank statements
- Assist HQ with payroll preparation including tax and pension deductions
- Make tax payments and receipts, and maintain payment receipts
- Monitor branch performance and report trends and red flags
- Research and implement tools for real-time KPI reporting of branches
- Assist with general office administration as needed
What they are asking for
- BSc in Accounting, or related field; MBA or similar higher degree is a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in administration, HR, finance or related areas
- Strong organisation and planning skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage stress and handle competing priorities
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, Smartsheet and other analytical tools
- Experience with finance software (e.g., Oracle, Peachtree) and Google documents
- Customer-focused with ability to build relationships and influence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
