Finance & Accounts Manager

About this role

Based in Lagos, Nigeria, the Finance and Accounts Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial operations in a digital banking environment, ensuring accurate reporting and strong controls. The role supports budgeting, cash flow management and regulatory compliance while providing financial insights to management for strategic decisions. It is aimed at an experienced finance professional with leadership experience in banking or fintech.

What you would do

• Lead day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS, CBN regulations and internal governance standards.
• Manage budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Monitor treasury operations, cash flow, liquidity, and bank reconciliations to ensure adequate funding.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory obligations, and CBN reporting; coordinate internal and external audits.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• ACA or ACCA certification is required; CIBN certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting or financial management within banking or fintech, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, CBN regulations, statutory reporting requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with financial reporting tools.
• Master’s degree (MBA or MSc in Finance) is an added advantage.
