Filter Technician

About this role

The position is for a Filter Technician with Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited in Ogun. The role involves managing filtration systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, cleaning, replacement and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety requirements and company quality standards.

What you would do

• Install, inspect, maintain and replace filtration equipment.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on filtration systems.
• Monitor differential pressure and operating parameters to identify blocked or inefficient filters.
• Conduct filter integrity testing where applicable and document results.
• Troubleshoot filtration system failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support cleaning, sanitisation and changeover activities per approved procedures.

What they are asking for

• OND / HND / BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Industrial Maintenance or related technical field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, food, chemical, water-treatment or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Practical knowledge of cartridge, membrane, air, liquid and process filtration systems.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, P&IDs, technical drawings and maintenance instructions.
• Basic understanding of pumps, valves, pressure systems, piping and instrumentation; ability to use basic mechanical tools.
• Familiarity with GMP documentation and GDP; strong attention to detail; good troubleshooting and teamwork; willingness to work shifts.
