Field Technician Mechanical Pumps

About this role

Aut Energy Resources Limited, an oil and gas services company, is looking for a Field Technician – Mechanical Pumps in Rivers. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul and repair of pumping systems used in industrial and oil & gas operations. The technician will diagnose pump issues, support reliability improvements, perform alignments and inspections, and ensure quality and HSE compliance. The position requires field-based work and reading mechanical drawings or manuals, with experience in pump systems and rotating equipment. Salary is stated as N200,000 to N300,000 per month.

What you would do

• Diagnose pump performance issues and apply corrective actions
• Assist in equipment reliability improvement initiatives
• Replace seals, bearings, couplings, impellers and related components
• Maintain maintenance records and service reports
• Support pump testing, commissioning and startup activities
• Carry out alignment, balancing and mechanical inspections
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance
• Install, inspect, maintain, overhaul and repair centrifugal and positive displacement pumps

What they are asking for

• OND, HND, HSE 1-3, Trade Test or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
• Ability to work independently at field locations
• Knowledge of pump systems, seals, bearings, rotating equipment and piping systems
• 3–5 years of experience maintaining industrial pumps
