Field Technician Electrical and Electronics

About this role

A Field Technician – Electrical and Electronics position is available with Aut Energy Resources Limited, an oil and gas services company based in Rivers. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, efficiency and safety while supporting installation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems across client facilities and project sites. The job involves reading drawings, performing testing and calibration, and assisting with commissioning and startup activities. The role requires safety awareness and the ability to work at client locations or project sites. Remuneration is in the range of N200,000 to N300,000 per month."

What you would do

• Test and calibrate electrical and electronic devices.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and HSE procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Install, inspect, maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Support field operations and emergency maintenance as needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and equipment failures.
• Document defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Support commissioning and startup activities.
• Maintain maintenance logs and technical records.

• Knowledge of industrial Electrical safety practices.
• Experience with electrical panels, motors, drives, sensors, control systems and instrumentation devices.
• ONT, HND, HSE 1, 2, 3, Trade Test or Technical Certification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant field experience.
• Willingness to work at client and project locations.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
