About this role
Based in Delta, Nigeria, the Field Service Engineer will help maintain energy uptime for Jaza Energy’s solar charging stations and hub sites as the company expands, with significant travel across Nigeria. The role involves managing technical operations, diagnosing and resolving issues, and supporting hub setup and maintenance in collaboration with regional teams.
What you would do
- Monitor systems to ensure energy uptime and power availability, diagnosing and solving technical issues quickly.
- Support setup of new hubs, ensure connectivity and perform routine hub energy system maintenance.
- Travel to hubs or remotely troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Oversee installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and related equipment.
- Collaborate with Jaza Stars and the data team to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
- Document field activities, maintain hub equipment and component inventories, and prepare hub health and other technical reports.

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Proven expertise in installing or ensuring uptime of energy systems; ideally with diesel and solar systems.
- 2–3 years of technical/engineering experience within telecommunications/energy or related sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and reporting software including MS Office suite and Google products.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; safety-conscious with a strong commitment to HSE standards.
