Field Service Engineer - Diesel Industrial Generator (Remote)

A Field Service Engineer is sought to support diesel industrial generators remotely, primarily servicing clients around Lagos Island. What you would do

• Replace broken parts and calibrate system settings.
• Run diagnostic tests to identify root causes of issues.
• Receive, register and coordinate customer service requests, breakdowns and complaints.
• Load, analyse and manage voltage requirements.
• Escalate major technical issues, delays, spare parts needs and customer complaints to the Service Manager.
• Maintain professional communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Travel to client locations for emergency service calls.
• Write service reports and track spare parts inventory.
• Conduct regular checks to prevent equipment breakdowns.

• Bachelor's Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in service coordination, maintenance coordination or after-sales service, preferably in the diesel generator or power generation industry.
• Good understanding of diesel generator engines, alternators, control panels, batteries and basic DG maintenance.
• Experience handling customer complaints, service requests, quotations, work orders and service reports.
• Strong customer communication, follow-up and team coordination skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple service calls and prioritise critical generator breakdowns.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of AMC and preventive maintenance activities.
• Must reside on Lagos Island, Lagos State (not the mainland).
• Good interpersonal relationship skills.
