Field Service Engineer
About this role
A Field Service Engineer role based in Delta, Nigeria, supporting Jaza Energy's expansion by maintaining energy uptime at solar hubs and assisting with hub setup and maintenance. What you would do
- Monitor and diagnose technical issues to ensure energy uptime at sites
- Set up new hubs, ensure connectivity, and perform routine maintenance of energy systems
- Install and configure solar panels, electrical wiring and related equipment
- Troubleshoot remotely or by travelling to hubs as needed
- Collaborate with data and field teams to resolve technical challenges
- Document field activities and maintain hub equipment and component inventories; prepare hub health reports

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2–3 years of hands-on technical/engineering experience in telecommunications, energy or related sectors
- Experience installing or maintaining energy systems with diesel and solar experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to implement solutions
- Safety-focused with knowledge of HSE standards
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google tools; able to work independently and in a team
