Field Operations Manager / Fieldwork Manager

SafeStart Global Inc is seeking a Field Operations Manager to oversee field teams and programme delivery in Kano. The role is office-based with regular field visits and involves managing field coordinators, ensuring stock and field data integrity, and coordinating community activities and M&E fieldwork. What you would do

• Plan and manage field activities against the annual plan, including launches, monitoring visits and survey rounds.
• Oversee field coordinators across multiple LGAs and provide direction and performance feedback.
• Ensure redemption points remain open, stocked and well run, including agent recruitment and support.
• Manage stock records, distribution planning and procurement coordination.
• Oversee field budgets, transport, per diems, equipment and demonstration costs.
• Monitor field staff safety, safeguarding and data protection procedures.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and training of field staff.
• Maintain community relationships and manage security considerations and incident reporting.
• Represent SafeStart in field coordination meetings and liaise with government and community partners.
• Provide weekly progress reports and advise on scaling, staffing and logistics.

• Fluency in Hausa.
• Experience managing field teams of 5+ across multiple locations.
• At least 4 years in field operations or M&E, including 2+ years in a management role with NGO or research organisation.
• Strong written English for reports and stakeholder communications.
• Experience with field logistics: stock, transport and supplies.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in public health, development studies, social sciences or related field.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently in the field.
