Field Engineer - Electrical

The role is for a Field Engineer - Electrical with 4 Quarters Consultants Limited in Lagos. It focuses on electrical maintenance, installation and commissioning of generator systems across fleet, projects and on-site service, requiring a full engineering degree and at least five years of relevant experience.
What you would do
- Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance across the generator fleet to maximise uptime.
- Diagnose and repair faults on control panels, AVRs, alternators/excitation, ATS/AMF, protection relays and battery/charging systems.
- Install and terminate generator control panels, cabling and distribution boards on project sites.
- Commission generators, set up controllers, synchronisation and load sharing.
- Perform load-bank and performance testing.
- Attend client sites under service contracts for scheduled servicing and breakdown response; complete service checklists and reports.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum five years of post-graduation experience in diesel and gas generator electrical systems across fleet, projects and service.
- COREN or NSE registration, or working towards it, is an advantage.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites.
