Female Assistant Accountant

About this role

The role is for a Female Assistant Accountant in Lagos Island, focused on branch accounting, financial controls, reconciliations and cash operations within a full‑time position.

What you would do

• Prepare financial reports and audit schedules in line with company policies
• Support stock reconciliation, inventory counts and variance analysis
• Reconcile sales, cash, bank, POS, receivables, payables and inter-branch balances
• Escalate discrepancies promptly and maintain accurate financial records
• Process transactions and support timely month-end closing and reconciliations
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations and other functions to ensure financial control

What they are asking for

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (minimum Second Class Lower/Upper Credit)
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, distribution, consumer electronics, FMCG or similar
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, cash management, AR/AP, inventory control and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software; Odoo experience is a plus
• Professional certification or studies (ICAN/ACCA/ANAN) advantageous
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and internal-control awareness
