Female Accountant
About this role
A full-time Female Accountant position in Lagos Island, Lagos. The role is for candidates with strong accounting experience to manage branch accounting operations, controls, reconciliations and financial reporting.
What you would do
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and controls and escalate risks
- Manage branch accounting activities and maintain accurate records for month-end and year-end closes
- Monitor inventory-related financial records, stock reconciliations and valuations
- Review and reconcile sales, cash, bank, POS, receivables, payables, inter-branch and head-office balances
- Prepare and review financial reports, branch P&L, forecasts, audit schedules and management reports
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and resolutions of discrepancies
What they are asking for
- ICAN, ACCA, ANAN or related qualification (added advantage)
- BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance or related field with minimum Second Class Lower or Upper Credit
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail, distribution, FMCG or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; Odoo experience is a plus
- Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions
