Farm Attendant

About this role

Aldelano Organic Foods Ltd in Ogun is hiring Farm Attendants to support the daily production of open-field habanero peppers and greenhouse bell peppers. The role is for physically fit candidates who are hardworking, disciplined and reliable and who can resume work immediately.

What you would do

• Prepare land, beds and planting areas for habanero peppers.
• Transplant habanero seedlings and replace weak plants as instructed.
• Water plants and support irrigation; apply fertilisers under supervision.
• Weed plots, mulch, stake, tie and prune pepper plants.
• Scout for pests and diseases; report symptoms promptly.
• Harvest, sort, weigh and pack habanero peppers and maintain harvest records.

What they are asking for

• Minimum of primary or secondary education.
• Previous farming experience in pepper, vegetables, greenhouse or open-field is an advantage.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and to count, weigh and record simple farm data.
• Physically fit to work outdoors and in a greenhouse; able to bend, stand and walk for extended periods; lift and carry materials safely.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends or extended hours and to resume immediately.
• Honest, punctual, disciplined and respectful; able to work well in a team and follow hygiene, safety and biosecurity rules.
