Facility Management Accountant
About this role
A Facility Management Accountant at Mixta Nigeria in Lagos handles the financials for three operational estates, focusing on day-to-day inflows and outflows, backlogs, and tailored COAs to ensure financial transparency for management and estate homeowner associations.
What you would do
- Create and maintain a tailored Chart of Accounts for the Facility Management unit
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual Income & Expenditure reports for management and estate associations
- Reconcile and clear historical accounting backlogs and set up COAs for all estate locations
- Track and report all estate collections (service charges, power vending, surcharges, etc.)
- Generate reports on service charge arrears and identify defaults to support recovery
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple estate sites

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA an advantage)
- 7 to 13 years of progressive accounting experience, including complex reconciliations and multi-entity reporting or facility management accounting
- Experience with financial statements preparation, accruals, and budgeting/forecasting
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data and provide recommendations
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; experience in real estate, infrastructure or facility management sectors preferred
- Attention to detail, integrity, deadline-driven, and good communication skills
