Extrusion Supervisor

About this role

NutriK FZE in Kano is seeking an Extrusion Supervisor to lead the Production Department's extrusion operations. The role focuses on safe, high-quality operation, adherence to GMP and HACCP, and supervision of operators while monitoring process parameters and equipment to minimise downtime. The objective is to achieve production targets with minimal waste and downtime.

What you would do

• Supervise daily extrusion operations.
• Plan and coordinate production according to the schedule.
• Ensure production targets are achieved with minimal waste.
• Verify equipment readiness and PPE compliance at start-up.
• Operate and adjust extrusion line components to optimise moisture, temperature and throughput.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance for sampling and testing.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Food Engineering, Food Science and Technology or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in grain processing, cereal production or food extrusion.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook; familiarity with ERP systems.
• Understanding of extrusion processes including mechanical, thermal and moisture control.
• Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, data analysis and report writing.
• Ability to operate twin-screw or single-screw extrusion systems.
