Extrusion & Packing Process Operator

About this role

The role involves operating, monitoring and maintaining the grain extrusion line to produce consistent, high‑quality extruded products while meeting safety and quality standards. It requires coordinating with the extrusion controller and supporting packing activities; suitable for someone with 1–2 years’ experience in food processing or extrusion equipment in Kano.

What you would do

• Prepare and verify raw materials before production.
• Adjust dryer temperature, airflow and moisture targets.
• Ensure cooler efficiency and correct product temperatures.
• Operate grinders/screens and maintain the required particle sizes.
• Run the grain extrusion line following approved procedures and coordinate changes with the Extrusion Controller.
• Carry out quality checks and visual inspections, and escalate deviations as needed.

What they are asking for

• English language proficiency.
• OND in Mechanical/Industrial/Food Processing Technology or equivalent.
• 1–2 years' experience operating food processing or extrusion equipment.
• Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook.
• Technical or vocational training in machine operation is a plus.
• Ability to operate the grain extrusion line per procedures; HMI experience; adjust process settings; monitor critical parameters; troubleshoot downstream issues.
