Experienced Recovery Officer (Nationwide)
About this role
A nationwide full-time role for an Experienced Recovery Officer to recover overdue microfinance loans and manage non-performing loans, with emphasis on negotiating repayment plans and liaising with branches. Suitable for candidates with recovery experience in microfinance or banking and fluency in English plus at least one Nigerian language.
What you would do
- Review and visit clients with at-risk loan portfolios.
- Daily review of outstanding and overdue loan accounts.
- Prepare reports and recommend actions to protect funds from bad loans.
- Recover classified loans.
- Initiate processes to prosecute hard-core debtors per bank policy.
- Negotiate work-out plans with willing debtors and coordinate with branches on non-performing loans.

- BSc or HND certificate.
- Completed NYSC.
- Minimum 1 year of recovery experience in a microfinance institution or commercial bank.
- Experience with loan recovery and negotiations.
- Fluent in English and at least one of Hausa, Igbo, or Yoruba (spoken and written).
- Local Nigerian contract with an MFB.
