The advert is for an Experienced Medical Officer to join Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Centre in Lekki, Lagos. What you would do
- Request, interpret and act on laboratory investigations and diagnostic imaging results
- Initiate appropriate referrals and escalate complex cases to specialists
- Monitor patients, manage handovers and continuity of care
- Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, audits and CPD activities
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care and lifestyle changes
- Provide timely, accurate clinical documentation including notes, prescriptions, discharge summaries and letters
- Conduct patient assessments, take histories, perform examinations and establish diagnoses
- Manage acute and chronic conditions and recognise emergencies for escalation
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on guidelines
- Adhere to protocols, infection prevention, safety, and ethical guidelines; collaborate with healthcare team and contribute to quality improvement
