Experienced ICT Personnel

The role is for an experienced ICT professional to manage and support the school’s ICT infrastructure at Collins American International Academy in Owerri, Imo. The successful candidate will oversee hardware, software, networks and related systems, assist staff and students, and ensure secure and reliable use of technology across the school. What you would do
- Maintain records of ICT assets, repairs, replacements and maintenance activities
- Promote cybersecurity, data protection practices and responsible technology use
- Recommend technology upgrades and improvements to management
- Train staff and students on ICT tools and platforms
- Ensure regular maintenance and proper functioning of ICT equipment
- Provide timely technical support to staff, students and management
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, data storage and backups
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, update and troubleshoot computer hardware, software and operating systems
- Monitor school networks, Wi-Fi and internet systems
What they are asking for
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant ICT experience in support, systems administration or networking
- Experience in a school or educational environment is an advantage
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Google or equivalent are an advantage
- Bachelor’s Degree, HND or equivalent in CS, IT, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field
- Demonstrable experience in ICT infrastructure management and technical support
- Ability to work under pressure and respond promptly to technical issues
- Ability to manage ICT equipment and maintain documentation
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity, data protection and backups
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
