Experienced ICT Personnel

About this role

This role is for an experienced ICT professional to manage and support the school’s technology infrastructure at Collins American International Academy in Imo. The incumbent will maintain hardware, software, networks, and ICT equipment; support staff and students; and ensure secure, reliable use of technology across the school. The job involves administration of user accounts, data backups, and school management systems, as well as supporting events, examinations and everyday teaching and administration with ICT tools. A background in ICT with several years of relevant experience and professional certifications is preferred. What you would do

• Manage and maintain the school's computers, network infrastructure, internet connectivity, printers, projectors, CCTV and other ICT equipment
• Provide timely technical support to staff, students and management
• Install, configure, update and troubleshoot computer hardware, software and operating systems
• Monitor and maintain the school's network, Wi-Fi and internet systems
• Ensure regular maintenance, security and proper functioning of ICT equipment
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, data storage and backups where applicable
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network and connectivity issues
• Support the effective use of technology in teaching, learning and school administration
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of school management systems and digital platforms
• Provide ICT support during school events, meetings, examinations and presentations

• Bachelor's Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years' relevant professional experience in ICT support, systems administration, networking or a similar role
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Google or other relevant ICT certifications will be an advantage
• Demonstrable experience in ICT infrastructure management and technical support
• Excellent professional conduct, integrity and reliability
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software and operating systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of networking, Wi-Fi configuration and internet connectivity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and other productivity tools
• Knowledge of computer maintenance, system installation and software configuration and basic cybersecurity, data protection and backup procedures - Ability to manage ICT equipment and maintain proper documentation - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work under pressure and respond promptly to technical issues - Strong customer-service mindset and professionalism - Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies
