Experienced Accountant

About this role

Experienced accountant needed to manage the hotel’s accounting operations, financial reporting and controls in Abuja, supporting timely management information for Villa Park Hotels and Suites.

What you would do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements, budgets and cash-flow forecasts
• Reconcile bank accounts, guest ledgers, supplier accounts and daily revenue from rooms and other services
• Oversee accounts payable, receivables, payroll accounting and month-end closing
• Monitor operating costs, inventory values and departmental budget variances
• Coordinate tax and statutory remittances, support external audits and maintain documentation
• Strengthen internal controls and supervise junior accounting staff

What they are asking for

• BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including in a hotel or hospitality business
• ICAN or ACCA qualification is an advantage
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel and hotel PMS or POS systems
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, integrity and ability to meet reporting deadlines
