What you would do
- Operate excavators for digging, loading, trenching and material handling.
- Perform assigned earthmoving and excavation tasks per requirements.
- Conduct pre-start and post-operation inspections of the equipment.
- Monitor equipment condition and report faults or maintenance needs.
- Ensure safe positioning and operation within designated areas.
- Maintain awareness of hazards and coordinating with personnel and other equipment.
- Follow Health, Safety and Environment procedures.
- Keep assigned equipment clean and well maintained.
- Work with supervisors and other operators to meet targets.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.

- Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
- Trade Test Certificate I, II or III in a relevant technical or vocational discipline (added qualification).
- Valid Class H Driver’s License (mandatory).
- 3 to 8 years of relevant experience operating excavators in mining, quarrying, construction, cement or similar settings.
- Knowledge of excavator controls and operating techniques.
- Ability to conduct basic equipment inspections and identify faults.
- Understanding of HSE requirements for heavy equipment operations.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow operating instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
