What you would do

• Operate hydraulic excavators for trenching, backfilling, grading and earthmoving activities.
• Perform pre-start and post-operation inspections and report any defects.
• Interpret site drawings, grade stakes and alignment markers to meet excavation specifications.
• Work around underground utilities using safe digging practices.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, pipelaying crews and labourers to maintain workflow.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and record operating hours and maintenance notes.

• Valid Heavy-Duty Operator's License/Certification for earthmoving equipment.
• 2 to 4 years of professional experience operating excavators (preferably in pipeline construction, civil engineering or heavy construction).
