Event Marketing Manager
About this role
The role is an Event Marketing Manager position based in Lagos for The Moment of Truth Talent Series. You will lead the end-to-end event strategy and integrated online/offline campaigns to grow audiences, boost brand visibility and convert attendees into participants for the training programmes. The role supports the series’ aim to empower underrepresented entrepreneurs and reduce unemployment in Nigeria and the UK.
What you would do
- Plan, budget and run preview sessions, founder masterclasses, workshops and networking events to showcase training outcomes.
- Manage end-to-end event production including venue, AV, vendors, branding assets and guest flow.
- Host and moderate virtual webinars, info sessions and live streams for hybrid audiences.
- Create and execute integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive event registrations and programme awareness.
- Work with the content team to produce high-converting landing pages, promotional copy, flyers and founder spotlight videos.
- Implement lead-capture systems and post-event follow-up, and monitor key metrics (CPL, turnout, lead-to-applicant conversion, ROAS).
What they are asking for
- 3-5 years of proven experience in event marketing, campaign management or growth marketing in Nigeria; tech hub, business accelerator or corporate training background preferred.
- Proven experience organising physical events with 50-300+ attendees and high-converting virtual masterclasses.
- Proficiency with digital marketing platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Mailchimp/Klaviyo, Zoom Webinars) and CRM systems (HubSpot or Zoho).
- Strong project management and vendor negotiation skills with budget control and problem-solving ability under pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication; persuasive copy editing and confident public hosting.
- Experience segmenting and targeting founder demographics across startup hubs, trade associations and corporate networks in Nigeria.
