Event Manager

About this role

Opass Limited is seeking an Events Manager in Lagos. The role involves planning, selling, coordinating and on-site execution of events to maximise revenue and guest satisfaction, covering conferences, weddings, corporate meetings, exhibitions and other functions. The successful candidate will generate new event business, manage multiple events end-to-end and ensure alignment with hotel standards. What you would do

• Develop and implement strategies to increase event bookings and revenue
• Identify and pursue corporate, social and institutional clients
• Build relationships with companies, agencies and event stakeholders
• Conduct tours of hotel and event spaces for prospective clients
• Prepare quotations, proposals and event packages
• Negotiate event contracts within hotel policies
• Maintain a database of potential and existing clients
• Follow up enquiries and convert leads to bookings
• Coordinate venue setup, decor, catering and technical requirements
• Ensure events start and finish on schedule and supervise on-site execution

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management or related field
• 4–6 years' experience in event management, hospitality, banqueting or hotel operations
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• Experience in a reputable hotel, event centre or hospitality company
• Strong knowledge of event planning and hotel banquet operations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Office/Google Workspace skills
