Estate Accountant
About this role
Estate Accountant role based in Lagos for UPDC Plc, focusing on managing the financial records and accounting operations of a residential estate. The position works with Estate Management, Operations, Procurement and Finance teams to ensure financial controls and reporting are in place.
What you would do
- Maintain up-to-date accounting records for the estate
- Record and monitor estate income, expenses, payments and transactions
- Prepare and maintain estate financial schedules and documentation
- Monitor operating expenses against budgets and assist with annual budget and forecasts
- Maintain service charge billing, collections and related reports
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and support audit processes
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Professional qualification such as ICAN or ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience in property management or service-based environment
- Experience with accounts payable, receivables, reconciliations, budgeting and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems
- Experience in residential estate or property environment is an advantage
