Environmental Field Officer

The role is for an Environmental Field Officer based in Rivers. It is a full-time position within the Administration/Operations department of Quatenary International Company Limited (QICL), an environmental and laboratory consultant serving oil, gas, and non-oil sectors. The job involves fieldwork both onshore and offshore, producing field reports with in-situ results and visuals, and ensuring compliance with environmental policies and legislation. The officer will manage field equipment, support environmental management systems, conduct risk and compliance audits, develop mitigation plans, and liaise with the General Manager on environmental matters. It also includes preparing study reports (eg EIA, PIA, ECM, Remediation, EES) and ensuring timely submission of draft and final reports for review.

What you would do

• Attend fieldwork onshore and offshore.
• Produce field reports with in-situ results, attendance records, and photographs.
• Care for field equipment, materials and accessories.
• Adhere to environmental policies and programs in line with company objectives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
• Implement environmental management systems.
• Conduct audits to identify environmental risks and regulatory non-compliance.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
• Monitor and improve the effectiveness of environmental management systems.
• Prepare performance reports for various studies and ensure draft/final reports are submitted for review.
