Environmental Field Officer
About this role
An Environmental Field Officer position with Quatenary International Company Limited (QICL) based in Delta. The role involves fieldwork both onshore and offshore, gathering data and producing field reports with in situ results, attendance notes, and photos. The candidate is expected to manage field equipment and adhere to environmental policies, programmes and legislation, while supporting the company’s environmental management systems. The job includes conducting audits to identify environmental risks and non-compliance, developing risk mitigation plans, and monitoring improvements. liaison with the General Manager on environmental issues and preparing performance reports for studies such as EIA, PIA, ECM, Remediation, and EES, ensuring documentation and fieldwork readiness before visits.
What you would do
- Attend fieldwork and data gathering onshore and offshore.
- Produce field reports with in situ results, attendance records and photographs.
- Care for all field equipment, materials and accessories.
- Adhere to environmental policies, programmes and legislation.
- Implement and monitor environmental management systems.
- Conduct audits to identify environmental risks and regulatory non-compliance.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Monitor effectiveness of environmental management measures and suggest improvements.
- Liaise with the General Manager on environmental issues.
- Prepare performance reports for studies (eg EIA, PIA, ECM, Remediation, EES) and ensure draft/final reports are submitted for review.
